Prior to enrolling in the course, please contact Energy Safe Victoria’s (ESV) Licencing Department on 1800 815 721 as you will need to apply for preapproval via ESV’s online application portal, ESV Connect. Here is the link. https://esv.vic.gov.au/esvconnect/
- Copies of all relevant documents and certifications demonstrating your competency in your primary trade, vocation or occupation
- Evidence of successful completion of a unit of competence in Disconnect/Reconnect and/or Fault Finding. Approved units of competence are listed below
- Evidence of successful completion of the Independent Practical Assessment in Disconnect Reconnect and/or Fault Finding within the last five years, and
- Completed CPR
- A credit or debit card to pay the application fee.
Language, Literacy & Numeracy
Applicants must undertake a language, literacy and numeracy assessment during their induction session prior to beginning the qualification. Results will be assessed on an individual level by the assessor.
Depending upon the level of support required for the language, literacy or numeracy an alternative training and assessment methods may be used or the learners will be recommended to pursue Foundation Skills program, which will help them fulfil the LLN gap and achieve the qualification.

Upon completion
Student upon completion will receive Statement of attainment for the units of competency completed as per the course structure. The students will be required to complete an independent Practical Licensing Assessment to be eligible to apply for the licence. This assessment must be carried out by an ESV approved assessment body.
